St. Paul–based mostly inside design studio Henri Interiors has expanded out west with Henri Dwelling, a brand new retail storefront in Wayzata.
The shop, which formally opens to the general public as we speak, is an extension of the Henri Interiors model’s signature fashion—clear, earthy, textural and natural.
“We work with our shoppers to assist construct their properties from the bottom up, from furnishings choice to the final accent—candles, ornamental matches, you identify it,” says Amanda Lorenz, proprietor and principal designer of Henri Interiors. Lorenz says she needed to create an area for each shoppers and non-clients to buy the fashionable beach-meets-coastal vibe—impressed by travels to Malibu and Joshua Tree—with large-scale furnishings, textiles, and equipment for the house.
The store’s ground shares a curated choice of artisan-made furnishings, pottery, equipment and decor from manufacturers throughout the globe, from California to Mexico to Holland. Plus, a illustration of native artists and makers together with Pinedo Studio, Carson Kowar, Ashtyn Sibinski, and Professional Concrete Counter tops, with whom the Henri workforce collaborated to create customized, checkerboard concrete cubes (on show and on the market on the retailer).
